If plans change.
Last updated 21 September 2026. Read this page with the Terms and the written quote supplied for your project. Sending an enquiry does not place an order or take payment.
Who to contact
Your service provider is Che Walker, trading as Northbound, 32 Ryland Road, Erdington, B24 8JJ, United Kingdom. To cancel, email hello@northboundweb.co.uk with your name and enough information to identify the project or management plan. A clear statement that you wish to cancel is sufficient; no special wording is required.
Business and consumer purchases
Northbound’s advertised website builds and management plans are designed for businesses. A purchase for your trade or business is a business-to-business arrangement. If you buy wholly or mainly outside your trade or business, applicable consumer rights are additional to the terms below. Describing a customer as a business does not remove consumer rights where they apply.
Before work begins
Tell Northbound as soon as you wish to cancel. Paying the initial 50% does not make it automatically non-refundable. Any amount retained must be justified under your agreement and applicable law, reflect legitimate losses and take account of costs avoided. Northbound will explain any proposed deduction and return any excess. Applicable statutory cancellation rights take priority.
During a project
You can review the website before launch. If you decide not to proceed after reviewing it, you do not owe the remaining build balance and the new website is not launched or handed over. The initial payment is assessed against work and justified costs already incurred; it is not automatically forfeited. Northbound will explain the amount retained and return any excess.
Changes to the brief, long pauses and restart arrangements are agreed in writing. There is no standard cancellation charge stated on this website.
Completed work and the launch refund policy
Under Northbound’s existing voluntary launch policy, you can change your mind within 14 calendar days after the new website launches and request a refund of the final build payment. Email Northbound within that period. Your launch confirmation records the launch date and deadline. The final payment is refunded within 14 days of your request; the initial payment remains subject to the fair retention rules above.
If you use this policy, permission to use the refunded website ends and Northbound removes access to that website. Ownership of the bespoke work does not transfer. Your domain and supplied content remain yours. This does not authorise removal of another existing website outside the refunded project.
The launch policy concerns the one-off build. It does not replace separate rights concerning management, third-party services or work that does not meet the agreement. Completion or expiry of this voluntary period does not remove your applicable legal remedies.
Ending monthly management
Email Northbound before renewal to end management at the close of your current paid month, with no further renewal. Northbound confirms the end date by email. Changing a package or its charge requires a written agreement.
Hosting under the plan ends when the service ends. Northbound agrees the transfer date and provides the website files and access you are entitled to before the agreed switch. Your new hosting and ongoing third-party costs are your responsibility. Ending management does not remove ownership of a fully paid website or automatically transfer or cancel your domain.
Unused update time is handled as described in the Terms. The website does not promise a separate refund for unused hours. Applicable legal remedies remain available if a service has not been supplied as agreed.
Consumer cancellation rights
Where the UK distance-contract rules apply to a service purchased as a consumer, the cancellation period normally runs for 14 days after the contract is made, independently of the launch policy. You can cancel by a clear statement to Northbound without giving a reason.
Work during that period requires your express early-start request. A proportionate charge for work supplied before cancellation is due only where the legal information and request conditions have been met. The cancellation right ends on full performance only where the required express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. Otherwise Northbound waits until the cancellation period ends before starting.
Any statutory refund due is made within the applicable deadline, normally 14 days after you tell Northbound you are cancelling. The contract information supplied before payment must explain the rights and any cancellation form applicable to your purchase.
If something is wrong
Email Northbound with the project reference and a description of the problem. Northbound will investigate and discuss an appropriate remedy. Nothing on this page limits applicable rights for faulty work or services not delivered as agreed.
