NORTHBOUND / TERMS

Before we build.

Last updated 21 September 2026.

These service conditions explain the packages advertised on this site and form part of your agreement when supplied with your accepted quote. Sending an enquiry does not place an order or take payment. You will need a written quote and service agreement before commissioning any work.

Who you are working with

Your service provider is Che Walker, trading as Northbound. Our business address is 32 Ryland Road, Erdington, B24 8JJ, United Kingdom. Contact us at hello@northboundweb.co.uk.

Who these packages are for

Website builds and management are designed for business use. Buying for your trade or business is a business-to-business arrangement. Where you buy wholly or mainly outside your trade or business, applicable consumer rights are additional to these terms. Sending an enquiry is not a contract.

Your website build

Pro is £249 for up to five pages, one revision round and Pro booking setup. Ultimate is £349 for up to eight pages, two revision rounds, Ultimate booking setup and local SEO setup. Custom work starts at £349 and is individually quoted for the pages, features and integrations you need.

A page is one distinct website address with an agreed layout and content. A revision round is one consolidated set of feedback on the agreed design or build. A new page, a different brief or extra functionality is an additional request, which needs a separate quote and your agreement before work starts.

Design and local SEO

Websites are individually designed for mobile and desktop, with layouts, navigation and content presentation considered for each screen size.

Local SEO setup covers local page titles and descriptions, service-area wording within your agreed pages, and Google Business Profile setup or review where your business is eligible. You provide accurate business details and complete any provider verification. Ongoing SEO campaigns are quoted separately.

Local SEO setup is included in Ultimate. Pro additions and Custom SEO requirements are agreed in your quote. Setup does not guarantee a particular search position.

Booking setup

Pro booking is for one staff calendar: customers choose a service, date and available time, with email confirmations and availability checks to prevent double bookings in the configured calendar. Basic customer contact details are collected.

Ultimate adds multiple staff calendars, appointment reminders, deposits or payment at booking, customer cancellation and rescheduling, and custom booking questions. Staff, services, calendars and booking rules are scoped in your written quote.

Northbound Bookings is being developed separately and is not yet available for live customers. For any booking-enabled project, we confirm the working system, supported features and availability before you agree or pay. Where an existing third-party provider is used, the package covers its setup and integration. Provider subscriptions, SMS messages and payment-processing fees are separate. Bespoke booking software is individually quoted under Custom.

Timing and payment

Pro is estimated at 7–10 working days and Ultimate at 10–15 working days. Custom delivery is agreed in your quote. These are estimates, not guaranteed completion dates. The advertised build schedule begins after the agreed content and deposit are received. You supply your business details, copy, images and feedback, along with any access needed for the agreed work. Delays in supplying these may change the delivery date; a revised schedule needs to be agreed.

The advertised build payment schedule is 50% deposit and 50% before launch. Hosting and management are separate recurring services. Northbound is not VAT registered. No VAT is added to these prices. Your written quote must confirm the final amount, unavoidable charges and paid extras before you agree or pay.

Ongoing management

Pro Management is £39 per month with two hours of updates. Ultimate Management is £59 per month with four hours. Custom Management starts at £59 per month, with time and scope agreed for your website. Hosting and routine maintenance are included in these plans.

Included time covers changes to your existing website. Extra time and new functionality need a separate quote and approval. If your requests do not use the full monthly allowance, Northbound uses the remaining time for routine checks, maintenance and small improvements to your website, then emails you a summary of completed changes. Major design or content changes need your approval first. This time is used within the paid month rather than carried forward. Your agreement records the billing date and how time is tracked. Priority is a place in the queue, not a guaranteed response time.

Changing or ending management

Please email hello@northboundweb.co.uk as soon as you want to change or cancel your plan. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month, with no further renewal. We confirm the end date by email. Package changes and their effective date are agreed in writing before a different charge is made.

Scope exclusions and third-party costs

Unless included in the agreed quote, a build does not include new branding, photography, copywriting, extra pages, custom software, ongoing SEO campaigns or paid third-party subscriptions. Domain registration and renewals, booking-provider charges, SMS and payment-processing fees are separate and confirmed before you agree or pay. Hosting and monthly management are separate from the one-off build.

Domains, ownership and licences

Your domain stays yours. Domain registration, renewal and paid third-party subscriptions are quoted separately. Ownership of the bespoke design and code Northbound creates for your project transfers once full payment has been received and the 14-day period following launch has ended, provided you have not requested cancellation under the launch refund policy. You may use the launched website during that period. Your supplied content remains yours throughout. Third-party software, fonts, stock assets and other licensed components retain their own licences; these are identified in your agreement. Only supply content you have permission to use.

Before management begins, agree the handover arrangements for ending it: website files, account access, domain control, hosting transfers and any ongoing third-party costs. Ending management does not by itself transfer or cancel a domain.

Changes, cancellation and refunds

Our Refunds & Cancellations policy covers cancellation before work starts, during a build, after launch and at the end of management.

You can review the website before launch. If you decide not to proceed after reviewing it, you do not owe the remaining balance and the website is not launched or handed over. The deposit covers work and justified costs already incurred. Any amount retained must be fair, reflect justified losses and comply with your applicable legal rights; any excess is returned. It is not automatically forfeited in every circumstance. Long pauses and restart arrangements are agreed in writing.

The existing voluntary policy allows a refund of the final build payment when requested within 14 calendar days after launch. Its conditions, the refund deadline, the effect on website access and separate statutory consumer rights are explained in the Refunds & Cancellations policy. Applicable legal rights are not limited by this policy.

How we agree your project

Before any deposit is requested, Northbound supplies a written quote recording your name and business, project reference, pages and features, booking provider and fees, revisions, delivery schedule, total price, payment stages and any management plan. You receive these service conditions with the quote and confirm acceptance in writing. An enquiry alone is not acceptance. Changes to scope or price require your written agreement.

Northbound records work against your monthly allowance and includes the completed work in your email update. At the end of management, hosting under that plan ends; we agree the transfer date and provide the website files and access you are entitled to before the agreed switch. A new hosting provider and ongoing third-party costs are your responsibility. Cancelling management does not remove ownership of a fully paid website.

Problems with the work

Email hello@northboundweb.co.uk with your project reference and a description of the problem. Northbound will investigate and discuss a suitable remedy. Nothing in these conditions removes your applicable legal rights or requires you to give up a remedy for work that does not meet the agreement.

Your agreement, in writing

Before accepting a project, check that your quote and terms identify the legal business you are contracting with, the agreed scope, total price, payment dates, ownership and cancellation arrangements. Keep a copy of the version you accept. Your accepted quote supplies the project-specific details and identifies this version of the service conditions. No payment is requested until those details, including our business address, have been supplied.
